We took a stroll through the Sydney Botanical Gardens. There was a huge stand of giant bamboo that made the most incredible creaking and groaning noises, and we stood there for a while, just listening to it talking to us. Through the bamboo we could see a couple of structures made from rocks and stone - completely fascinating and a lovely addition to the landscape. And that is the inspiration for this painting.
